PRESENTACIÓN

This course focuses on three key areas: tourism planning, understood as the strategic and sustainable design of tourism initiatives; the geography of tourism, which analyses the spatial dimensions of tourism and destination dynamics; and cultural and natural heritage, addressed as a core resource for the design and interpretation of tourism itineraries. The course is delivered in an asynchronous format and is conducted online through the Moodle platform or a similar learning management system.

PROGRAMA:

  • Unit 1. Design of tourism itineraries.Introduction to the principles, stages, and criteria involved in the conceptual and practical design of tourism itineraries.
  • Unit 2. Use of geotechnologies in the design of tourism itineraries.Application of digital mapping, and spatial data tools to support the planning and analysis of tourism itineraries.
  • Unit 3. Strategies for interpreting tourism itineraries.Exploration of interpretative approaches to communicate cultural, natural, and territorial values to different audiences.
  • Unit 4. Digital marketing strategies for the promotion and commercialization of itineraries.Overview of digital marketing tools and strategies to promote, position, and commercialize tourism itineraries.
  • Unit 5. Project presentation.Development and presentation of a final project integrating the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course.
