Seminar series: Multilingualism, the Language of CIVIS
The CIVIS Multilingualism Network (CMN), comprised of scholars from CIVIS universities, is organising its inaugural Multilingualism and Language Policy seminar series, hosted by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and co-organised with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Stockholm University and the University of Glasgow.
This four-seminar workshop on the interdisciplinary area of multilingualism and language policy aims to raise awareness of the relevance of languages in social processes, in attitudes, in our daily lives, and in the construction of CIVIS, and to inform language policies within the consortium.
The seminar series welcomes scholars, young researchers, as well as senior and postgraduate students to participate in four online seminars during the academic year 2021-2022.
The seminar series will make available, free of charge, to those who register for the seminars:
resources, such as video-lectures, books and articles (open source)
a media space for participants to upload relevant photos, graphics, podcasts, videos, posters, and other types of multimodal and multimedia texts
